About the Conference

We hope you’ll join us in Boston April 23-25 for the 2023 CUPA-HR Spring Conference. This conference will be slightly smaller in size than CUPA-HR’s popular annual conference, but not in scope! From the thought-provoking keynote speakers to the carefully selected concurrent sessions, this in-person event will offer you opportunities to explore new ideas, recharge your HR batteries, and network with other higher ed HR professionals.

Featured Speakers

In the opening keynote on Sunday, Jeff Harry, positive psychology thought leader, will show us how to recognize our inner critic, bring it into the light and learn how to play and build a healthy relationship with it. On Monday, Kevin McDonald, vice president for diversity, equity, inclusion and community partnerships at University of Virginia, will share important lessons learned from navigating diversity crises in higher ed environments while moving forward with the vital work of diversity, equity and inclusion. Closing out the conference on Tuesday, Ira Shepard, CUPA-HR’s general counsel, and Carolyn Pellegrini of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr will engage us in an interactive session covering the latest information and updates on key cases impacting higher ed employment and labor law.
