It Starts With Trust: Developing the HR Communities of Practice Office at UW-Madison

How does central HR transform its relationship with HR offices across a large campus in a way that is trust-based, sustainable and demonstrates true strategic partnership? How do we foster competency-based learning pathways for all HR professionals throughout their careers with applications that are relevant to campus so authority can be reliably and realistically delegated? The new HR Communities of Practice Office at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has taken an innovative approach to learning through community building and trust-based, meaningful relationships. Learn how the office fosters essential knowledge sharing, raises important questions and helps to facilitate an HR cultural transformation with the goal of effective partnerships, delegated security and a sustainable, competency-based learning program for a diverse campus HR community.
