The contract outlines your speaker requirements for the conference.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;SESSION MATERIALS SUBMISSION | MANDATORY Deadline: February 26&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;3.26.7&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>As was stated in the 2020 call for proposals and speaker agreement, submission of session materials is mandatory. You may submit your session materials in one of two ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"fa-li fa fa-check-square\"><\/i><strong>The complete PowerPoint presentation<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>\u2014 The presentation will be shared with attendees through a password-protected website.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa-li fa fa-check-square\"><\/i><strong>The complete PowerPoint presentation + a modified version or summary of the presentation<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>\u2014 Only the summary you provide will be shared with attendees through the password-protected website. Your full presentation will not be shared.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>CUPA-HR does not provide printed session handouts to attendees. If you choose to provide printed handouts, information about recommended quantities will be e-mailed to you closer to the conference dates. CUPA-HR will not reimburse expenses incurred for printing session materials.<\/p>\n<p>Session materials must be submitted by February 26 as an email attachment (we cannot accept fax copies) to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:conferences@cupahr.org\">conferences@cupahr.org<\/a>. If you cannot meet the February 26 deadline, or you have a special situation, please contact us by e-mail at<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"mailto:conferences@cupahr.org\">conferences@cupahr.org<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>or by phone at 877-287-2474.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;BIOGRAPHY&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;3.26.7&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Presenters will introduce themselves. You may want to include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"fa-li fa fa-check-square\"><\/i>Name, title, institution<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa-li fa fa-check-square\"><\/i>Primary higher ed HR interests<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa-li fa fa-check-square\"><\/i>Past presentations<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa-li fa fa-check-square\"><\/i>Current research or interests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CUPA-HR staff will be available to help with any AV issues or needs presenters have during a session, but CUPA-HR staff will not be introducing speakers using any provided presenter biography.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;AUDIOVISUAL REQUIREMENTS | Deadline: February 26&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;3.26.7&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Your session room will be set up with the equipment you requested during the proposal process. Please provide your own laptop loaded with appropriate software, as CUPA-HR does not provide laptops. If you would like to rent a laptop, you can order one directly from the hotel\u2019s audio visual department (a fee will be charged).<\/p>\n<p>CUPA-HR provides the following at no cost:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"fa-li fa fa-check-square\"><\/i>LCD projector and screen,<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa-li fa fa-check-square\"><\/i>remote control,<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa-li fa fa-check-square\"><\/i>appropriate cables to connect your laptop (PCs ONLY<strong>*<\/strong>) to LCD projector,<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa-li fa fa-check-square\"><\/i>two lavaliere microphones,<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"fa-li fa fa-check-square\"><\/i>one wireless handheld microphone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Flip charts and markers, as well as sound speakers, are available upon request. If your needs have changed or you would like to add equipment, please contact CUPA-HR by February 26 at<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"mailto:conferences@cupahr.org\">conferences@cupahr.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Equipment provided by CUPA-HR\u2019s audiovisual company is compatible with PCs. If you are bringing an Apple product or tablet device, please be sure to bring any necessary adapter cords. CUPA-HR cannot guarantee adapter availability from our AV provider or the hotel AV department.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;POWERPOINT TEMPLATE&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;3.26.7&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Speakers have two template options for their PowerPoint or other on-screen presentation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/conferences.cupahr.org\/spring2020ga\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2020\/01\/SpringConf_GA-CSslides.pptx\">CUPA-HR\u2019s slides<\/a>, or<\/li>\n<li>Use a unique\u00a0template with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/conferences.cupahr.org\/spring2020ga\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2020\/01\/SpringConf_GA-CSslides-2.pptx\">CUPA-HR\u2019s title slide and thank-you slide<\/a>\u00a0incorporated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Presenter logos may appear\u00a0<strong>only\u00a0<\/strong>on the title and thank-you slides.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;PRESENTATION ROOMS&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;3.26.7&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>All session rooms will be set \u201ctheater style\u201d in order to maximize seating for conference attendees.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;RESERVE A PRACTICE ROOM&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;3.26.7&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span>CUPA-HR provides a speaker ready room for presenters to practice at the conference. The room will be equipped with full standard AV setup and is available in 30-minute increments during conference hours. In order to accommodate practice sessions for all presenters, we ask that you limit your practice time to no more than 60 minutes. Reservations are required. We\u2019ll send the details as soon as they are available.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;CUPA-HR PUBLICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE CENTER&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;3.26.7&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span>A committee of your peers may select some of the concurrent session content to appear in an upcoming issue of a CUPA-HR publication and\/or online in the members-only CUPA-HR Knowledge Center. Association staff will notify you if your white paper or session handout materials are selected to appear in a publication and\/or the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cupahr.org\/knowledge-center\/toolkits\/\">Knowledge Center<\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;SESSION EVALUATIONS&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;3.26.7&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span>All concurrent session evaluations will be sent electronically to attendees. Your composite scores will be sent to you a few weeks after the conference. Evaluations ask attendees to rate a variety of things, including: session quality, content appropriateness, presenters promoting specific products or providers, and more.
