MAKING THE MOST OF FACULTY DATA FOR INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS

Faculty play a critical role in student success, but it can be challenging to evaluate their working conditions, including salary and workload equity, career trajectories, etc. because data on faculty is often decentralized, making it difficult to integrate different data sources for decision making. In this session, researchers from the Faculty, Academic Careers, and Environments (FACE) project and CUPA-HR will explore various potential sources of data on faculty, both internal and external, that can be used to better understand who faculty are, what work they do, and how institutional policies and practices shape their retention, productivity, job satisfaction and paths to leadership. This session is sponsored by TIAA.
